Delete your Effortless account

You can delete your account on this website without installing the app. Sign in, open Preferences, and choose Delete Account. We’ll ask for your password and, if enabled, your authenticator or recovery code.

Deletion removes your profile, transactions, budgets, rules, goals, saved history and device sessions from the live service. It also removes your bank connections from Effortless. It does not close bank accounts or cancel subscriptions with other companies.

Download your data before deleting if you want a copy. Previously downloaded files and emails remain with their recipients. Retained recovery backups are handled separately; contact support for retention details.

If a bank connection cannot be removed, your records stay available and you can retry. Some connections may already have stopped. The confirmation screen tells you when deletion finishes.
